What are you looking at? Oct 4th

For those of you scoring at home, I’m 20-10 against the spread so far this year, but I feel a hot streak coming on!

#1 Oklahoma at Baylor 11:30 FSN

There is nothing but badness that can come out of this game for the Sooners.  Baylor’s strength so far as been their rushing Offense.  Baylor’s only hope is to make OU one dimensional on Offense, get a lead and then grind it out.  OU’s receivers are too good for that and Baylor’s passing game isn’t good enough to take advantage of OU’s cover 2 gaps caused by tight hipped corners.  Baylor is getting 27 at home.

I’m taking OU and giving the points.

#13 Auburn at #19 Vanderbilt 5:00 ESPN

Vandy and Oklahoma State are both undefeated because the have played air so far this season.  The Tigers have scored 3 points so far this year on the road.  Auburn should be better than Vandy in all aspects of this game.  It will be a low scoring affair, but the Tigers’ D will most likely score the difference maker.

Vanderbilt is getting 3.5 at home. I’m taking Auburn and giving the points.

#9 USC at #23 Oregon 7:00 ABC

Oregon has been quietly putting together the #4 Rushing offense in the country and # 7 scoring offense aided by some really good field position and special teams, of course they haven’t played anyone yet.  USC has more Pro prospects than any team in the country.  If they come in with their head in the game, they will tear Oregon apart.  Don’t think Pete doesn’t have their undivided attention right now.  Oregon is too loose with the ball in the passing game, but has a good Pass D.  Expect USC to run it up the gut all night.

USC is giving 16.5.  I hope someone calls the police.  Oregon might be able to press charges after this beat down.  I’m taking USC.

#14 Ohio State at #18 Wisconsin 7:00 ABC

These teams could be mirror images of each other.  Both can't win the big one.  Both have put together a solid run game and have a pretty good secondary.  I expect this will be a low scoring little 11 snoozer that will be won by the big uglies on the o line.

Wisconsin is getting 2.5.  Give ‘em the points.  It won’t matter.

#4 Missouri at Nebraska 8:00 ESPN

This is one of those picks you have to truly analyze.  Mizzou has had a bye since the Illinois game, but they didn’t play last weekend.  Nebraska is coming off of a home beat down by the Va Tech Hokies.  Both teams are going to put some points on the board.  Nebraska will spend more time in the Tiger backfield hurrying Booger Daniel which may be the equalizer.  Ganz will find some holes in the 111th ranked pass defense.  Mizzou is reading their own press clippings and Nebraska's D got a Bo style wake up call this week.

Nebraska is getting 10 at home.  I’m taking the Huskers and the points.

Bo  and Tom held a seance to eradicate Husker H8er and raise the spirit of the Blackshirts from the dead.  Breaking news:  This is the starting line up for Nebraska's Defense.  Starting at Defense End, Dead guy #1,...
